"Over the past two decades, the conference has deservedly become an authoritative platform for discussing problems of political theory and practice, having played an important role in the formation of the Belarusian political science school. The present forum is taking place at a difficult time, when there is a transformation of the entire system of international relations. The outlines of a new just global order are breaking through the cracks of the unipolar model of the world order, and sovereign states will have to overcome emerging challenges and threats on this path,” the President said in his address.

Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed that this sets a task for the scientific community to deeply and objectively comprehend the essence of the ongoing processes, to search for optimal models of political structure, as well as solutions aimed at levelling the impact of negative trends and shaping the image of the future.

"Your forum is designed to find answers to the trickiest questions of our time, to give an adequate assessment of the realities of world development. It is no coincidence that the leading Belarusian political scientists, as well as representatives of near and far abroad, have gathered here," the Head of State noted.

The President wished the participants fruitful work, constructive discussions and new discoveries for the benefit of their native Belarus.
