Lukashenko sent greetings to participants and guests of Belarusian Written Language Day

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to participants and guests of the Belarusian Written Language Day, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

Dear friends!

I sincerely welcome guests and participants of the Belarusian Written Language Day, which is celebrated this year in the hospitable Brest land, particularly, in the town of Ivatsevichi.

This holiday reminds us of the importance of preserving and developing the national cultural heritage and spiritual traditions of the people through books. Such values unite people and contribute to the country’s prosperity. Literature and mother tongue have been and remain the foundation for the education of high moral qualities and the formation of national identity.

I’m convinced that Belarusians will always respect our historical heritage, cherish the inexhaustible cultural treasures of their ancestors, and strengthen the sovereignty of the state with their daily work. They will always cherish our language and outstanding authors who glorify the native land in their works.

I cordially wish guests and participants of the event health, harmony and well-being, as well as new interesting meetings, success and creative inspiration.

The President of the Republic of Belarus,

Aleksandr Lukashenko
