Lukashenko congratulated students and teachers on Knowledge Day

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated students and teachers on Knowledge Day, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

Dear friends!

I sincerely congratulate you on Knowledge Day.

As is traditional, when we open a new academic year in September, we all take a step into the future together. After all, today’s schoolchildren, students and cadets – learning the basics of sciences and professions under the guidance of both young and experienced teachers – are preparing to take responsibility for our Fatherland tomorrow. This is for you to take the baton from the older generations: to build houses, to grow bread, to create and master modern technologies, to defend our Motherland and to preserve historical memory, culture and traditions — the basis of the foundations of the life of the people. You should study hard. I’m convinced that you will be able to make our country even stronger and more beautiful.

Of course, first-graders and their parents are experiencing the biggest excitement at the solemn school assembly. May the school become a guide to the vast world of knowledge, a true temple of science, as well as a reliable and cosy home for you – filled with the joy of new achievements, positive emotions and smiles of real friends.

I wish everyone that the academic year was successful for the national education system, giving many reasons to be proud of the achievements of our children and youth.

I wish you peaceful sky, health, patience and good luck.

The President of the Republic of Belarus,

Aleksandr Lukashenko
