Lukashenko sent condolences to President of Ethiopia over deadly landslide
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has sent condolences to the President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Sahle-Work Zewde, in connection with landslide disaster victims, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service
“It is with deep sorrow that Belarus has learnt the news about numerous victims, destruction of housing, and damage to infrastructure as a result of a devastating landslide in the Geze-Gofa area. It is especially painful that socially vulnerable citizens, including women, children, and older people, suffered the most,” the message of condolences reads.
On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed his deep condolences to the families and friends of the victims, wished a speedy recovery to all those injured, as well as rapid elimination of the consequences of the natural disaster and return to their usual way of life.
