Lukashenko’s working visit to Kazakhstan completed
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has completed his working visit to Kazakhstan, BelTA reports
Aleksandr Lukashenko took part in a meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State in the capital of Kazakhstan. The leaders of the countries decided to complete the procedure for Belarus’ joining the organisation as a full member. Thus, the ‘Shanghai Nine’ turned into the ‘Shanghai Ten’ at the summit.
On the sidelines of the SCO summit in Astana, the President of Belarus also held a range of negotiations: with the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China, the President of Turkiye, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and the UN Secretary General. In total, there were many different international contacts. For example, various issues were discussed in detail and repeatedly with Russian leader Vladimir Putin both the day before, particularly during communication at an informal dinner, and on the main day of the forum.
