Lukashenko's interview with Russian journalist Solovyov being prepared
Preparations are currently underway for an interview of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko with a Russian journalist and TV presenter, Vladimir Solovyov – as stated by the Press Secretary of the President of Belarus, Natalya Eismont, in her talk with Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA reports
"A conversation with Dmitry Kiselyov [General Director of Rossiya Segodnya international news agency] was wonderful. It was widely discussed for a long time. Another interesting interview is coming soon,” Ms. Eismont said.
A TV programme host, Maria Petrashko, clarified whether it would be Vladimir Solovyov who, as she added, had previously spoken quite aggressively in relation to the Belarusian President’s Press Secretary. "How can you explain this behaviour? Is this his last chance or just a hype?" she asked.
"I’d like not to refer to any sharp journalistic categories – like ‘last chance’ or ‘hype’. I explain this to myself by Vladimir Solovyov’s truly great desire to have this interesting and high-powered conversation. I want to say that we are now purposefully moving along this path. According to our plan, if everything goes well, we will open our 2022 information year with a big conversation of Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Solovyov. I am convinced that we will succeed and that it will be very interesting," Ms. Eismont added.
