Lukashenko promised to disclose hidden activities of Western diplomats in Belarus

Western public figures and politicians do not care about history – as stressed by Aleksandr Lukashenko during the nationwide subbotnik at the Khatyn Memorial Complex

The President was asked to comment on an unknown person’s action at the Buchenwald Memorial Complex on April 10th: Belarus’ national flag was then replaced with a white-red-white canvas. Journalists were also interested in Aleksandr Lukashenko’s opinion on a reaction of the German ambassador in Belarus.

“Do not believe them, do not. It has become a fashion for them: to come, to cry, to apologise saying how miserable they are, how badly they behaved here. Do you remember, how they came from Austria and Germany [to Trostenets in 2018]? It seemed they consecrated our land. They will never touch this shrine with dirty hands. What happened next? Those were sanctions, sanctions, sanctions,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The Belarusian leader reminded an information war was unleashed against the country initially, and it was later followed by an economic war.

“Therefore, do not believe all their bows, and so on. They are doing their Anglo-Saxon thing, as we call it, or the collective West. They do not care about this story, and what happened to those poor people: a hundred and half of children, women, and the elderly. They do not care. This refers to this ambassador, and other ambassadors,” the Head of State stressed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko promised to openly inform on what Western diplomats are doing in Belarus, “I will do this someday. We will summarise everything documentarily and demonstrate it to you – showing what they are doing here. You will be horrified. It is not even Nazis anymore, it is already akin to fascism – what they are doing here, in Belarus. This is evident in the form of these sanctions and pressure on Belarus. Therefore, no one needs their lamentations near Khatyn, and so on.”
