There should be a strict discipline in the system of settlements in industry – as stated by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko during today’s meeting on the development of the Belarusian industry

The Head of State touched upon one of the problematic issues: the return of external overdue accounts receivable, which continue to grow for the second year in a row.

“I want to warn the directors (and all those who are not present here today) that it’s a prison, since in this scenario, you are asking for cheap loans for your operating assets and debt restructuring. That is, again, you hope that the state will give you something for other benefits and preferences. Once again, I warn you that there must be a strict discipline in the system of settlements.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko also stressed that the launch of a new investment cycle in the context of import substitution and localisation tasks should ensure our technological sovereignty and guarantee sustainable development, ‘because a strong economy is an independent state’.
