Lukashenko on Pavlinka dairy complex: it’s a palace, but the price of such facilities should be optimal
The construction of dairy complexes should be optimal in terms of price – as stated today by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, during his working trip to the Orsha District. The Head of State visited one of the dairy farms of the Yubileiny agricultural company, where he was informed about the socio-economic development of the Vitebsk Region and the Orsha District, as well as the most pressing issues of agricultural development in the country and in the region.
Aleksandr Lukashenko got acquainted with the work of the Pavlinka robotic dairy complex which was commissioned in June 2021. The total cost of four launch complexes stands at Br71.5m. Today, 1,830 cows of the main herd are kept here. In general, the robotic dairy complex is designed for two thousand cows. It’s planned to reach the design capacity by late October 2023. Feed is distributed here by a mobile mixer-feeder, while cow milking is carried out with the help of 34 German-made milking robots GEA. Over six months of this year, the dairy facility produced 6,800 tonnes of milk, with milk yield per cow reaching 3,833kg, and the milk is sold in the Extra variety. The Head of State appreciated what he saw, “It’s a palace. God willing, we have money to build such facilities.”
At the same time, the Head of State recalled that earlier the task was set to determine the adequate price of the optimal complex.
“I want to build complexes that are optimal in price,” the President underlined.
