The Head of State is convinced that the current negotiations in Mongolia will serve new beginnings in the relations between the two countries.

Aleksandr Lukashenko recalled his first visit to Mongolia in 1992 as a deputy, “There have been amazing changes in your development! Today, looking at Ulaanbaatar, I am generally shocked. [I see] new buildings and structures. Progress is visible at every step, starting from the airport. I congratulate you on this huge progress.”

The President also expressed support for Mongolia's foreign policy, “This is the only right way. Being pressed in between two empires, the largest states, you conduct your foreign policy very subtly and, carefully, balancing between these forces. I know how difficult it is for you to stay afloat and improve the well-being of your people.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed that Mongolia is going through a very difficult, important and crucial stage today, and this includes the upcoming parliamentary elections in the country.

“You have enormous resources and huge wealth,” the Belarusian leader said. “This is your great benefit. Actually, this benefit needs to be preserved, protected, because the world has gone mad. Only force is respected. To exist in this frenzied world, you need to be strong. I sincerely wish you to be strong in order to survive in this world and make the Mongolian people deservedly rich and great. The great Chinggis Khaan, whom you worship (doing this deservedly, because you have a great history), always taught that, in order to achieve something, everyone needs to do their job in their place, and the authorities should be tough and hard as a fist. No one can hold power with outstretched fingers.”
