Lukashenko: October Revolution opened a new page in national history

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated Belarusians on October Revolution Day – as reported by the Belarusian leader’s press service

“More than a hundred years have passed since the events of the Great October Revolution, but its ideals are still relevant and significant,” the congratulatory message reads. “Today, the vast majority of the world’s population strives for social justice, though many countries still face modern forms of exploitation and oppression, cultural expansion, as well as economic sanctions and political blackmail.”

According to the Belarusian Head of State, we cannot forget that the October Revolution opened a new page in national history, serving as an impetus for the development of national Belarusian statehood. He also underlined that having overcome numerous trials in the difficult 20th century, revealing the potential of creativity and creation, Belarusians have taken their rightful place in the large family of peoples of the world.

The President is convinced that by knowing our past, defending historical truth, respecting and enhancing the achievements of previous generations, we create a peaceful future for our children and grandchildren.

“Let your sincere love for the Motherland give you strength and energy, inspiring you to new achievements in the name of your beloved Belarus. With all my heart I wish you strong health, optimism and prosperity,” stressed Aleksandr Lukashenko.
