Lukashenko making working trip to Minsk District today
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, is making a working trip to the Minsk District. Near the village of Okolitsa, the Head of State will visit the Novaya Okolitsa low-rise residential micro-district currently under construction, where he will be reported on the approaches to the construction of individual housing for citizens using the industrial method. Aleksandr Lukashenko will get acquainted with various options for houses being built in the Novaya Okolitsa low-rise residential micro-district.
The general plan for the development of a new residential area with a total area of 210 hectares by annexing new lands to the village of Okolitsa is under development. This year, the development of part of this territory with an area of over 46 hectares has begun, where it is planned to build 228 individual houses with engineering and transport infrastructure. At present, parallel design and construction of the first two stages is underway, including 65 manor-type residential buildings and their infrastructure.
Contracting organisations for the construction of residential buildings include Gomel, Soligorsk, Mogilev and Minsk house-building plants, Brestzhilstroy, Grodnozhilstroy JSC, Borisovzhilstroy JSC, the Newsprint Plant, the Krichev Reinforced Concrete Products Plant, MinLesKhoz enterprise, and Management Company of the Holding Belarusian Cement Company. Residential buildings differ both in total area (from 86 to 140sq.m) and in wall structures (reinforced concrete panels, double timber, frame-panel, brick, cellular concrete blocks).
