Lukashenko: it was with Dazhynki that revival of Belarus’ villages began
Belarus has not only ensured its food security, but also joined the global leaders in exports of certain types of food thanks to farmers who ardently work on the land day and night – as stated by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko at today’s solemn ceremony honouring farmers at the Dazhynki-2024 festival-fair
The Head of State stressed that Belarusian products are well known and loved far beyond the borders of the country. “I will tell you more. In the context of the illegal fascist unprecedented sanctions that have been imposed against our state in recent years, exports of agricultural products have enabled other industries to adapt to the new situation and reorient themselves to new markets. Moreover, it is worth mentioning that the work of one employee of the agro-industrial complex creates up to a dozen jobs in related fields,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
The Head of State noted another very important role of Dazhynki, “Step by step, no matter how difficult it may be, we have been changing the capital of the holiday every year, beautifying our district and regional centres. The festival has become a national project. It has transformed into a large-scale government programme. Agro-towns and modern dairy complexes have been built as a result. However, in fact, the revival of our villages began with our Dazhynki.”
