Lukashenko instructed to pay special attention to seaport transportation development
Belarus needs new routes to expand trade and further upgrade its transport infrastructure – as stated by the President at a meeting of the Council of Ministers on the results of the work of the economy over the past year and the solution of urgent tasks of socio-economic development in 2023
“In 2023, special attention should be paid to the development of transportation through seaports, and we should also continue the work on building efficient transport and logistics chains in the eastern direction. We need new routes to expand trade, and a further upgrade of the transport infrastructure is required,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
According to the Head of State, it is necessary to intensify the work together with Russian colleagues on abolition of the licensing system for all types of road freight and irregular passenger transportation. “I instruct to ensure the access of domestic companies to the implementation of coastal transportation in Russia in 2023. Everything – which depended on me – has been done,” he added.
