Lukashenko instructed not to forget about development of Polesie Radiation-Ecological Reserve and Pripyatsky National Park
During his today’s meeting with the Gomel Region’s activists held in Vetka, the President of Belarus demanded not to forget about the development of the Polesie Radiation-Ecological Reserve and the Pripyatsky National Park
“Since the beginning of this year, the Polesie reserve has moved from the Emergencies Ministry’s management to that of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection. We understand that there is no emergency situation there now. How does the reserve work in the current conditions? Has the order observed there when managed by a paramilitary structure been preserved?” the Head of State addressed the meeting participants.
Aleksandr Lukashenko pointed out the uniqueness of the mentioned objects, “I know that you are engaged in beekeeping and fish farming there. Plants and animals, especially rare and those included into the Red Book, feel great without an anthropogenic interference. Przewalski's horses have come, and this is a paradise for scientists. Tourists are also interested in this. Do we use this natural variety?”
