Lukashenko held talks with Ethiopian PM
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has held talks with Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed Ali on the side-lines of the BRICS Summit in Kazan
The two sides are liaising in defence and security, within the UN, and support each other in elections to various structures.
In 2023, Belarus’ trade with Ethiopia stood at $7.2m (462 percent on 2022), while exports totalled $5.9m (a 12.4-fold growth). The exports primarily relied on computing machines for automatic information processing, TV sets, monitors and projectors.
