The President unexpectedly started today’s meeting on the formation of the Belarusian People’s Congress and changes in electoral legislation. Aleksandr Lukashenko demanded all those responsible to mobilise, “I warned the Government, and this is, first of all, the task of the governors. Our harvesting campaign will end when the last plough leaves the field, and you completely finish autumn ploughing. I warn all governors against trying to embellish something in the statistics. Here you will not succeed. Please, do everything that we have to do in order to prepare for winter.”

In this regard, the President especially warned the Gomel, Mogilev and Vitebsk regions, “Keep in mind that you will be responsible for these areas of work. This applies to everyone. I just see that you have some kind of relaxation in the east. You will be hold accountable strictly. If you do not understand this, I am very sorry. I will say briefly: if you do not want to fight with weapons, fight in fields, factories and plants. Our war is going not through Ukraine, but through the economy, through us. So, I repeat: shake up.”
