Lukashenko: festive events for 80th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation should be given a good start in Komarin
During today’s meeting on the socio-economic development of the Gomel Region, Belarus’ President pointed out the peculiarities of the present time that need to be taken into account
In particular, Aleksandr Lukashenko noted, “You represent a border region. I want to emphasise: we are peaceful people, and we do not need someone else's land. By the way, it was from the Gomel Region, from the city of Komarin, that the liberation of Belarus from the fascist evil began in September 1943. It is here, in Komarin, that we need to give a good start in September to the anniversary events dedicated to the 80th jubilee of the liberation of our republic – that we will widely celebrate in 2024.”
The Head of State stressed, “I would like to repeat once again: ensuring peace and security is a task of the President and the power bloc. Your task is to create decent living conditions for people. You should focus on the economy, and you are underworking in this regard.”
