Lukashenko extended Customs Service Day greetings
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated the leadership, active and retired personnel of Belarus’ Customs Service on their professional holiday — Customs Service Day – sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service
“The economic security and stability of Belarus’ development largely depend on the proper fulfilment of a number of important state tasks assigned to the Belarusian customs service,” the Head of State noted. “Sustainable replenishment of the national budget, effective fight against smuggling, creation of favourable conditions for foreign economic activity of domestic enterprises play an important role in maintaining the pace of economic growth in the state.”
“Proactive work, a correct forecast of the situation and comprehensive decisions taken in response to unfriendly steps taken by neighbouring states enable us today to protect the domestic market and ensure the smooth operation of our enterprises and transport logistics,” the President stressed.
Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed special gratitude to the retired employees, whose accumulated experience and knowledge allow young employees to effectively perform the tasks assigned to the customs service today.
The President wished everyone strong health, family well-being and new achievements for the prosperity of Belarus.
