Lukashenko explained why he would not invite Western countries to parade on occasion of 80th anniversary of Great Victory
Belarus will not invite Western countries to participate in the parade on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory – as stated by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko during his today’s meeting in the open mic format with students of universities specialising in engineering and technical subjects
Answering the question whether Belarus plans to invite the Western allies who fought fascism together with us to the parade, and whether there was an idea of holding a common Victory parade, the Head of State noted, “[This issue] has not been discussed, and there will be no discussion for certain reasons. They did not invite Putin and me to Auschwitz [to celebrate the anniversary of the liberation of the concentration camp], though we liberated this concentration camp…They recently gathered near the Atlantic Ocean, where the second front was opened… They continue to spread the idea that it was they who won and saved the planet from the brown plague, while the Soviet Union and we did nothing for that.”
According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, in this way they are trying to ‘recode’ Belarusians, and reorient the whole world. “That is why they will not invite us anywhere, and they will not hold any events with our participation,” he said.
