Lukashenko expects accelerated implementation of agreements with Azerbaijan at top level
During today’s meeting with Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko said that he expects accelerated implementation of the agreements with Azerbaijan reached during the Belarusian leader’s state visit to this country in May 2024
“I would very much like our agreements – reached during my latest trip to your country – to be implemented. Yesterday I had a long conversation with Belarus’ PM about economic issues in relations between Belarus and Azerbaijan. There are no problems. The only thing he said it is desirable that everything moves forward faster. It is good that the PM understands that it is necessary to act quicker today – such are the times we live in. If, as a result of your stay in Belarus, we find an opportunity to accelerate, we will definitely do it. We, the presidents, won’t interfere with you [governments]; we won’t prevent this,” the President noted.
