Lukashenko: Easter holiday carries deep meaning of healing faith in eternal ideals of goodness and justice

Head of State Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated the Christians of Belarus who celebrate Easter on March 31st

“Dear compatriots! I sincerely congratulate you on Easter, which carries a deep meaning of healing faith in the eternal ideals of goodness and justice,” the greetings read.

According to the Belarusian leader, the Resurrection of Christ unites us around true Christian values, while turning people to the primordial qualities of the Belarusian nation: self-sacrifice, fraternal mutual assistance and the desire to serve the native land.

The President asserted that on Easter days, the heart of every believer is filled with great joy, which strengthens the spirit and instils hope for a bright future.

“May Easter inspire you to do good deeds and fill your life with love. I wish you and your families strong health, happiness, peace and harmony,” the President stressed.
