Lukashenko: EAEU should become real pole of economic attraction in modern world
The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) should become a real pole of economic attraction in the modern world – as noted by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko during today’s meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council held in an expanded format in Moscow
The Head of State drew attention to the fact that the EAEU approached its tenth anniversary with certain achievements, “Our union is still quite young, but a lot of effort, energy and money have already been invested in its development. We are responsible for ensuring that it continues to develop for the benefit of our nations and becomes a real pole of economic attraction in the modern world. I’m absolutely convinced that we can do this.”
Taking this opportunity, Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated everyone present on the anniversary of the Great Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, and wished peace, prosperity and well-being to our countries.
The President also cordially thanked Vladimir Putin and all his assistants for the warm welcome and the high level of organisation of the event. The Belarusian leader noted that this is the first major international meeting for the Russian leader after the inauguration ceremony held on May 7th.
“Russia’s active and consistent efforts to develop and strengthen our partnership are more important today than ever,” Aleksandr Lukashenko underlined.
