Lukashenko counts on strengthening bilateral ties with Malaysia

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated Malaysia’s Supreme Head, Sultan of Pahang Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and the people of this country on the 65th anniversary of independence – as reported in the Belarusian leader’s press service

“During its sovereign existence, Malaysia has become one of the economic leaders in Asia, turning into the world’s largest centre of the Islamic economic system. This year, Minsk and Kuala Lumpur celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. It is pleasant that during this period co-operation between our countries has become sustainable due to the progressive increase in trade in agricultural products, the expansion of liaisons in the military-technical sphere, and the development of the legal framework,” the congratulatory message reads.

The Belarusian Head of State expressed his conviction that Belarus and Malaysia would continue to work together to strengthen bilateral ties and solve pressing international problems, including in the food security.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the Supreme Ruler of Malaysia excellent health and prosperity, as well as happiness and prosperity to the Malaysian people.
