Lukashenko congratulated Vietnamese President To Lam on his election to post of Communist Party’s General Secretary

On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated To Lam, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on his election to the post of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

“I’m convinced that your many years of experience, high authority, personal and professional qualities will enable you to successfully cope with all tasks,” the congratulatory message reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that the best memory for the previous leader of the Vietnamese Communist Party, Nguyen Phu Trong, will be the continuation – under the leadership of To Lam – of the course towards the dynamic development and strengthening of the country’s security, the growth of the welfare of the Vietnamese people, the realisation of foreign policy interests, and increasing the role and place of Vietnam in the international arena.

“I confirm Belarus’ commitment to further developing relations with Vietnam on the basis of traditional friendship, trust and mutual understanding. I hope for the continuation of our liaisons, the implementation of the agreements reached and the identification of new promising areas of bilateral co-operation across various sectors. I will be glad to welcome you to the hospitable Belarusian land,” the Head of State noted.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished To Lam strong health, strength, energy and success in responsible party and state activities.
