Lukashenko congratulated US people on Independence Day

On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated the people of the United States of America on Independence Day, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

“Belarus has always proceeded from the importance of constructive contacts with the United States of America, and the period of history when such contacts prevailed showed their indisputable benefits for the two states,” the Head of State stressed.

“We appreciate the efforts of ordinary Americans who helped us humanly and heartily in the fight against Nazism, the post-war reconstruction of the country, overcoming the consequences of the accident in the Ukrainian Chernobyl,” the congratulatory message reads.

“Despite the political stereotypes, we invite you to look beyond the horizon, make your personal impression of Belarus, evaluate its achievements,” the President suggested. “I’m convinced many people will be pleasantly surprised and want to get to know our country better.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the people of the United States a cloudless sky and the wisdom of peaceful coexistence with all people of good will. “We cordially invite you to Belarus!” the message reads.
