Lukashenko congratulated university students on Knowledge Day

Congratulating students, undergraduates and postgraduates on Knowledge Day during today’s Open Microphone with the President event, Aleksandr Lukashenko wished them to become professionals in their field and take a worthy place in life

Addressing the audience, the Head of State noted, “The new academic year begins. You’ve noticed how literally in a day the whole country and your city were in motion. The solemn school assemblies have begun, the traditional first bell will ring soon, and more than a million schoolchildren and about five hundred thousand college and university students will start their classes. In fact, from today, we all start living according to the academic calendar.”

The President suggested that students may not feel the beginning of the new academic year so vividly anymore, “As you say, the academic semester. You are adults. I am sure, looking at the kids with bouquets of flowers, each of you warmly remembers the school days from where we all came. Therefore, I congratulate you, dear students, undergraduates, and postgraduates, on Knowledge Day. May this academic year be exciting, filled with new discoveries, positive emotions, and the joy of meeting interesting people. Soak up knowledge and competencies like a sponge, so that in just a few years you can become professionals in your field and take a worthy place in life.”
