Lukashenko congratulated servicemen and veterans of Belarus’ Armed Forces on Day of Paratroopers and Special Operations Forces

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated active and retired personnel of the Special Operations Forces of Belarus’ Armed Forces on their professional holiday — the Day of Paratroopers and Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces – sb.by reports with reference to the Head of State’s press service

“From generation to generation, the warriors of the famous Airborne Forces demonstrate special cohesion, fortitude and an example of selfless devotion to the Fatherland. The most hardened, literally inflexible people have always served in the ranks of the ‘winged infantry’,” the congratulatory message reads.

“During the Great Patriotic War and in all local conflicts, the paratroopers acted skilfully and decisively, showing bravery and personal courage, winning in the most difficult conditions,” the Belarusian leader underlined.

According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, the current generation of servicemen of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus continues with honour the glorious traditions laid down by their predecessors. Soldiers and officers are firmly guarding the security of our country and the peace of our citizens.

“Paratroopers are rightfully considered the elite of Belarus’ Armed Forces, having earned the well-deserved love and respect of the people,” the message continues.

The President is convinced that they will continue to remain a reliable shield, the pride and glory of our native land.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished everyone happiness and well-being, strong health and new successes in the noble cause of service for the benefit of the Republic of Belarus!
