Lukashenko congratulated Metropolitan Veniamin on his birthday

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus on his birthday, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

“The Orthodox Church plays an important role in maintaining interfaith harmony in our country. With your archpastoral service and prayers, you make a great contribution to the preservation and enhancement of moral, cultural and historical values in the Belarusian land,” the congratulatory message reads. “Your personal openness to dialogue with people of different generations, principles and beliefs helps everyone feel paternal care and support in difficult times.”

The Head of State wished Metropolitan Veniamin strong health, longevity and success in his creative labours, “May your wisdom and life experience continue to strengthen the spiritual unity of our society.”
