Lukashenko congratulated Luong Cuong on his election as Vietnam’s President

On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Luong Cuong on his election as President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

“This choice underlines your high authority and great trust from the party, the state and the people. I am convinced that professional knowledge and rich life experience will enable you to effectively fulfil the duties of the head of state in the interests of its citizens,” the congratulatory message reads.

The President noted that Luong Cuong contributed to the development of Belarus-Vietnam co-operation in defence and security during his service in the Vietnamese People’s Army. “I hope that in your new high post you will continue to contribute to the strengthening of Belarusian-Vietnamese relations based on the long-standing traditions of friendship and mutual support,” the Belarusian leader stressed. “I will be pleased to welcome you in Belarus at any convenient time to discuss the expansion of bilateral political, economic and humanitarian ties, as well as fruitful interaction in the international arena,” the Head of State noted.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Luong Cuong strong health and success in his responsible work.
