Lukashenko congratulated Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid on Independence Day

On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid on Independence Day, sb.by reports with reference to the Head of State’s press service

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that this date – significant for the history of Iraq – reminds of the courage and bravery shown by the Iraqi people in the struggle for their independence, a symbol of hope and faith in a better future.

“Modern conditions open up new horizons for deepening co-operation between the two countries. Belarus and Iraq can become reliable partners in solving existing problems, strengthening stability and promoting peace in our regions,” the Belarusian leader stressed.

The President of Belarus wished Abdul Latif Rashid excellent health and fruitful work in a responsible government post, and all Iraqis a peaceful sky, harmony and prosperity.
