Lukashenko congratulated Czech people on national holiday
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, on behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, has congratulated the people of the Czech Republic on the national holiday – as reported by the Belarusian leader’s press service
The Belarusian leader noted that on October 28th, 1918, a fateful event occurred in the history of the Czech Republic, marking the beginning of the construction of an independent Czechoslovak state.
“For a long time, Czechs and Belarusians have been united by the valuable experience of peaceful coexistence, human, economic and cultural ties,” the congratulatory message reads. “I’m confident that today Minsk and Prague have opportunities to resume constructive co-operation in the trade-humanitarian spheres. The Belarusian side is ready for this.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the people of the Czech Republic prosperity and confidence in the future.
“We will be glad to welcome you to hospitable Belarus,” the President added.
