Lukashenko compared life with sailor’s striped shirt: light stripes alternate with dark
Our life is like a sailor’s striped shirt, with light stripes alternating with dark ones, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko noted during today’s charity event for children as part of Our Children campaign in the Palace of the Republic

The Head of State noted that not only different people gathered in the hall today, “Little kids and big kids have different fates. Adults also have different fates. It’s easier for some, some study well because they have more opportunities. Some study very well because they have fewer opportunities, but they are hard-hardworking and have very big aspirations to study well. But I have to tell you in this connection (this applies to both children and adults) that life is always like a sailor’s striped shirt. Somewhere the stripes are darker, somewhere lighter. This means that if someone has certain anxieties today, something is missing in life, remember that behind this slightly dark stripe there will definitely be a bright stripe in life. And we will do everything to make those children who lack something, so that they are no different from those children who have everything. This is what this great holiday – the New Year – is designed for.”
