Lukashenko: by its actions West pushed Belarus, Russia and China to unite
With their thoughtless actions Western politicians did everything to push Belarus, Russia and China to unite, and now they are furious about it – as President Aleksandr Lukashenko told journalists today in Khatyn
Answering the question why the West reacted extremely negatively to the visits of the Belarusian leader to China and Iran, as well as to the Moscow talks between Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, whether this is evidence that we are moving in the right direction, Aleksandr Lukashenko said, “We’re convinced that we are moving in the right direction. We are moving where the doors are open to us. Why should we break into the door that was slammed in front of us [we often discuss this issue with Putin]? They will come to us.”
According to the Belarusian leader, the interests of business prevail over politics, so the West imposes sanctions and restrictions against us with one hand, and with the other it tries to ‘fraudulently not only to talk to us, but also to trade and to develop the economy’, “So we go where we are expected. We do the right thing, while they also realised what they did wrong.”
The President recalled that a few years ago, during a visit to Minsk by former US national security adviser Bolton, he warned him and asked him to tell then-President Trump that the West – with its crazy policy – did nothing better for us, Russia and China, than united us together, “You are just bringing us together. And against this front they will not survive. Bolton repeated this today. Therefore, they are angry. They realised that they had done everything to unite the powerful, resourceful, space, nuclear country, which is Russia, and the same powerful in human resource, nuclear and future-oriented, already consider number one country, China. Therefore, they are angry.”
