Lukashenko: Belarusian society treats mother-women with special respect
The President has presented state awards and shoulder straps to Belarus’ senior officers at a traditional ceremony held today at the Palace of Independence
“It is hardly possible to think of another event that would better suit the spirit and sense of the Year of Peace and Creation than our joint ceremony today. Following a good tradition, we are honouring the most successful women of the country and the most courageous warriors in these first days of spring,” Aleksandr Lukashenko addressed those present with warm greetings.
The Head of State stressed, “Why do women – who have chosen a difficult path of motherhood – enjoy special respect in our society? This is because it is the highest mission and sense of life: the affirmation of unshakable human values, of everything that exists on this land. This is the basis. After all, it is on the unselfish maternal love, big women's hearts, their inexhaustible energy that everything relies on our planet. Dear women present here and those who will hear us today, I cordially greet all the mothers of our country in your person! I bow low to you for your maternal feat!”
At the same time, the President drew attention to an important point, “Along with men, you successfully develop science and technology, strengthen industrial potential, ensure food and financial security of the country, build houses, create works of art, teach and treat people. You also glorify our Motherland at the most prestigious forums and leading theatre stages of the world, preserve and multiply the cultural heritage of Belarus. Everything that we – men – do in our life is done for you.”
