Lukashenko: Belarusian created their history independently, so have been under political and economic pressure for thirty years
Belarusians created their history and wrote their laws independently, and this has become a reason for the informational, political, and economic pressure – as stated by President Aleksandr Lukashenko at today’s meeting dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus
The Head of State stressed, “We created our history independently, and we also wrote laws on our own. That is a reason for why we have been experiencing the informational, political, and economic pressure for a third of the century. Over this time, only the laziest one abroad has failed to call Lukashenko a dictator and an authoritarian President. That’s up to them, they can call me as they wish. What is important is the result achieved by us: unsold national wealth, preserved sovereignty, security and peace in our native land, the growth of the well-being of our citizens and a quiet life of ordinary people.”
As stated by the President, by improving the Basic Law in 2021-2022, Belarusians were also responding to the challenges of the time, “People saw that the risks of losing the institution of the traditional family, our moral attitudes and historical memory increased, and they put these values under protection at the highest level: the level of the Basic Law.”
Clearly, it is not enough to outline guarantees, responsibilities, powers and so on in legal documents: it is necessary to make them a real practice. Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasised, “We are working over this, and everything promised 30 years ago has been fulfilled. This is because the responsible persons have been identified.”
