Lukashenko: Belarus, Russia demonstrate to others how inter-state relations should develop
Belarus and Russia demonstrate to other countries how relations between states should develop – as noted by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko during today’s meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov
The Head of State noted that Belarus and Russia always act from the same positions in foreign policy, in their work on international platforms, within international organisations, “Russia can always count on Belarus’ support on those issues where we are able to provide assistance. Thank you again for always lending us the appropriate support. Today we are demonstrating to good countries and good peoples how relations between states should be built. This is largely due to your co-operation with Belarus’ Foreign Ministry. We’ll continue to liaise in this direction.”
The Head of State noted that meetings of the Belarusian and Russian sides will take place in the near future as part of the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, as well as at the Independence Day parade. The President thanked the Russian side for the fact that a representative delegation from Russia will be present in Minsk on July 3rd, and the Russian Armed Forces will take part in the parade.
“We really appreciate it very much. You can hope that everything that we have planned together, all issues from the Belarusian side will be settled without delay and without stopping.”
