Lukashenko: Belarus ready to provide Zimbabwe with all-round support
Belarus is ready to provide Zimbabwe with all-round support – as stated by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, during his today’s meeting with the First Lady of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Auxillia Mnangagwa
Welcoming the guest, the Head of State noted the fact that the Zimbabwean delegation arrived in Belarus during the days of the 33rd Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk International Festival of Arts – the largest forum of Slavic culture – and brought with them a piece of Zimbabwean culture.
“You know our attitude to you, to your country, to your President. We are ready to provide you with all-round support and services during your stay in Belarus and beyond,” the President stressed.
Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that the visit of Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa is expected in Belarus, “We’ll provide him with every possible assistance in the implementation of this mission, in the implementation of those ideas and plans that we have identified for the future.”
The Head of State drew attention to the fact that the high guest is well acquainted with Belarus, and she is accompanied by representatives of the business circles of Zimbabwe.
“It’s good that these are women. They are more attentive and will look at all the best that we have in Belarus, and what we are ready to implement together with you, including in Zimbabwe,” Aleksandr Lukashenko noted.
The President asked to convey his best wishes and assurances of determination to implement all bilateral agreements to his Zimbabwean counterpart Emmerson Mnangagwa.
“Belarus’ new Foreign Minister will be directly responsible for the countries of the African continent. He is absolutely in the subject. I think he’ll be able to visit you in the near future and, if necessary, adjust our plans and the tasks that we’ll settle in the near future,” Aleksandr Lukashenko explained.
The Head of State noted that Auxillia Mnangagwa has taken on a very important task for Zimbabwe, overseeing healthcare and child nutrition.
“Be sure that in this regard, we will always be with you and will do everything necessary to improve the situation in Zimbabwe with medical care for the population and nutrition for children,” the President assured.
“In short, Ms. Mnangagwa, we have very big and extensive plans. We really want to work in your country and do something useful for the people of Zimbabwe. You can count on us,” Aleksandr Lukashenko summed up.
