Addressing the diplomats, the Head of State noted, “There is an impressive diplomatic geography in this hall today, bringing together people who are close in spirit and who are united by a common desire to create and strengthen ties for the benefit of the peoples of our countries.”

The Head of State noted that October 1st marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, “I would like to take this opportunity, Mr. Ambassador, and congratulate, through you, the entire Chinese people on your national holiday. This is our holiday too. It is very important for us that you present your credentials on this day.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that China has always been and remains an important, reliable and special trade-economic and political partner for Belarus.

“Minsk and Beijing have achieved an unprecedented high level of trust-based co-operation. In the context of global political tension, we were able to bring bilateral relations to the level of an all-weather and comprehensive strategic partnership,” the President underlined.

The Head of State drew attention to the fact that, despite the crisis processes in the global economy, Minsk and Beijing achieved a new record in last year’s trade.

“I would like to express special gratitude for the constructive approach towards co-operation to my dear friend, President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping. Please convey my good wishes to him and that we are waiting for him to visit Belarus at a convenient time for him,” the Belarusian leader stated.
