Lukashenko: Belarus highly appreciates good relations with Uganda based on friendship and trust
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, on behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, congratulated President of the Republic of Uganda Yoweri Museveni and the residents of this country on Independence Day – as BelTA was told by the Belarusian leader’s press service
“Your country has authority and plays a significant role in Africa, which is confirmed by its election as chair of the Non-Aligned Movement,” the Head of State noted. “Belarus highly appreciates good diplomatic relations with Uganda based on friendship and trust, which mark 25 years in 2023. We share the same view on pressing issues on the international agenda, including the need to build a more balanced and fair multipolar world.”
“We’re ready to expand interaction. We also note the intensification of contacts and hope for their further increase, welcoming the participation of business circles in the bilateral dialogue. Moreover, we see prospects for joint work in such areas as agriculture, food security, industry, information technology, healthcare, energy, and education,” the President of Belarus underlined.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the President of the Republic of Uganda strong health and success, and the people of this country well-being and prosperity.
