Lukashenko: Belarus, Azerbaijan have no problems on international platforms
Belarus and Azerbaijan have no problems on international platforms – as stated by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko during his today’s meeting with Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov
“We have no problems on international platforms. We have supported, support and will continue to support each other. I am very grateful to the Government and the President of Azerbaijan for the tremendous support they provide us,” the Head of State noted.
Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed that the relations between the two countries are an interweaving of interstate and personal relations, “Our personal relations are woven into the fabric of interstate relations. This contributes to the level that we have [in our bilateral co-operation.]. Tell us what we can do for Azerbaijan — and we will do everything. It has been so far, and it will continue to be so in the future. I am convinced that Azerbaijan will do everything it can for us, because it has always been like this.”
First of all, Ali Asadov thanked the Head of State for the meeting and conveyed friendly and brotherly greetings from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, “Belarus and Azerbaijan have traditionally had historically friendly relations. Ilham Aliyev attaches special importance to the relations with your country.”
The Azerbaijani PM stressed that during the Belarusian leader’s state visit to Azerbaijan in May 2024 and the agreements reached, both leaders set specific tasks for their governments, which are a roadmap. A large delegation from Azerbaijan is currently on a visit to Belarus, featuring a range of ministers and heads of departments supervising economic, agricultural, and construction issues.
