During the opening of the international standard swimming pool in Minsk a week ago, the Head of State was invited to have a look at the reconstructed Traktor Stadium and the 50th Anniversary of the Great October Park neighbouring it. The President has inspected these facilities today, which is the first day of operation of the sports complex and the reconstructed park.
As noted by Aleksandr Lukashenko, everything is being done for people, and this refers not only to the social facilities. “It’s an old park. I passed it often when was driving by, I visited it and the stadium many times," the Head of State noted. “This park is old, it was built for people. It is good, and it is for our citizens. It’s great to have social facilities, but production is needed as well: we need to earn money for our people,” he said.
In this regard, the President recalled his instructions on the modernisation of MotoVeloZavod, the construction of a new bus manufacturing plant and a new exhibition centre.
