Lukashenko appointed new ambassadors to China, Zimbabwe, Serbia and other countries
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has made today a number of personnel decisions. In particular, the Head of State appointed Aleksandr Chervyakov – who previously worked as Economy Minister – as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China.
Former Deputy Chairman of the State Control Committee – Director of the Financial Investigations Department Igor Marshalov became the head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Zimbabwe. Igor Bely, who headed the Foreign Ministry’s Main Directorate for Asia, Africa and Latin America, will now work as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to South Africa with concurrent accreditation to Botswana, Mozambique and Namibia.
The Head of the Main Information and Analytical Directorate of the Foreign Ministry, Sergei Malinovsky, will now head the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Serbia with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of North Macedonia.
Roman Romanovsky, who worked as Deputy Head of the Main Department for Pan-European Co-operation of the Foreign Ministry’s Main Directorate for Europe and North America, has been appointed to the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Indonesia with concurrent accreditation to Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines.
Moreover, the President agreed to the appointment of Aleksandr Matsukov as Consul General of Belarus in Indian Mumbai. Prior to this, he headed the Citizenship and Travel Abroad Department of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s Main Consular Directorate.
