Lukashenko, Aliyev meeting in St. Petersburg
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, is holding a bilateral meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in St. Petersburg, BelTA reports
Aleksandr Lukashenko and Ilham Aliyev had a telephone conversation on December 24th, when the Belarusian Head of State warmly congratulated his Azerbaijani colleague on the birthday. The presidents discussed the main issues of development of bilateral relations, the situation in the region and the joint work within the framework of multilateral platforms.
The current meeting in St. Petersburg is taking place as a follow-up to what was discussed during the telephone conversation, with purely work-related agenda.
“We’re waiting for you in Azerbaijan!” Ilham Aliyev invited the Belarusian leader.
