Lukashenko addressed new Director General of Belarusian NPP: no need to spend time in office, ours should be the best station in the world

The Belarusian NPP should be the best station in the world in terms of efficiency and operation – as stated by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, while making a number of personnel decisions today

Sergei Bobovich, who had previously been Deputy Director General of Belenergo, was approved for the position of Director General of the Belarusian NPP. Co-ordinating the appointment, the Head of State said, “There were attempts to convince me that we do not have specialists who can manage such a complex and, most importantly, responsible facility. I do not agree with that. We have been searching for some time – to find eventually. I believe you will cope with the task well. It seems to me that this is a very interesting job, Sergei Olegovich. Everything is available: a new enterprise, a beautiful station.”

The President gave a piece of advice to the appointed leader, “I ask you not to spend time in your office. Start from the points that are not related to safety (though there are probably no such areas of work at the station). I ask you very much: go into all the details. It should be the best station in the world in operation and efficiency. Make sure that others are convinced: we have highly professional managers even at an enterprise that we did not know and did not see before. There are such people in Belarus. I hope and count on you very much.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko added that it is always possible to report to him on any issue relate to the work of the Belarusian NPP, and assured that he would provide any support.
