Logo, mascot and corporate identity of II CIS Games approved

The Council of Ministers held a meeting of the organising committee to ensure the preparation and holding of the II CIS Games in the Republic of Belarus in 2023, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko

As a result of the meeting, the logo of the Games – an ornamental eight-pointed star, blooming into a dynamic bright cornflower – was approved. The mascot will be the original Belarusian lynx (Rysya) while the slogan will sound lie this: Strong Character – a Bright Game!

“The bright identity of the event reflects the triumph of sport and hospitable national flavour,” said Vitaly Ostrovsky, the Head of the Marketing Department at the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus.

He said that during the development of the corporate identity concept, they relied on the work of the Belarusian primitive artist from the Slutsk District: handmade carpet maker Alena Kish.

The II CIS Games will be held from August 3rd-15th, 2023, in twenty sport disciplines.
