Lithuania terminates co-operation with Belarus to ensure uninterrupted flow of transport across border

Lithuania unilaterally terminates co-operation with the customs and border services of Belarus to ensure the uninterrupted movement of transport across the border and increase the capacity of road checkpoints. The decision was made by the Lithuania State Border Service under the Interior Ministry of Lithuania – as reported by the State Border Committee of Belarus in its Telegram channel.

The reasons for termination of interaction are not specified in the notice.

Co-operation was carried out on the basis of a document signed by the parties on November 4th, 2019.
