Latvia’s PM: Riga sent all its Stinger missiles to Ukraine

Latvia has handed over all its Stinger missiles to Kiev – as informed by Latvian Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins during a conference in London on restoration of Ukraine, RIA Novosti reports

According to the Latvian official, Kiev will also receive helicopters from Riga.

"All our Stinger missiles are now in Ukraine, we have a fleet of helicopters, and we will send them to Ukraine. They can be used, they look good," Mr. Karins said.

Refereeing to the information available to him, the Latvian Government has spent over 1.3 percent of GDP on assistance to Ukraine. At the same time, one percent went to military needs. Mr. Karins added that Ukrainian military are being trained in Latvia, and about three thousand fighters have already undergone preparation in the country.
