Kochanova: future of sovereign Belarus depends on who comes to power
The future of sovereign and independent Belarus depends on who will come to power, who will work and live in the country – as noted by Natalya Kochanova, the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly, at a meeting with students, their parents and teachers
“The youth is our future, and Aleksandr Lukashenko has emphasised at today’s meeting [with members of the Republican Council of Rectors of Higher Education] that the country’s further development depends on those who will come in our place,” the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic said.
Ms. Kochanova added that meetings with young people are among the main directions in the work of the Council of the Republic, and Suvorov students, cadets, students and schoolchildren from various educational institutions have already visited the Upper House of Parliament. “We are open for all, since the policy pursued in our country is aimed at Belarusians’ comfort and well-being,” she said. “The state means the society, it is all of us. Therefore, I am interested to know your opinion on whether the education and enrolment related issues have been wisely resolved. What else needs to be done for young people in our country? What is interesting to you, and what is not? It is important for me to communicate with teachers and parents as well.”
