Kochanova: Belarusians should remember their history and lessons learnt from Great Patriotic War
Belarusians should remember their history well and the lessons that the nation learnt from the WWII tragic events – as noted by Natalya Kochanova, the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly, at Minsk’s City Palace of Culture whish hosted today a wartime song contest – I, We Remember! – held among trade union cells of the Belarusian Women’s Union of the largest industrial enterprises
“The songs of the war years brought up many generations of our citizens, and this competition has become a good tradition on the eve of the great Victory Day,” the Speaker of the Council of the Republic noted. “Today, women in industry are the hardest work. Thank you for what you are doing for our country, strengthening its economy and power. We should remember our history well and the lessons we learnt from the tragic events of the Great Patriotic War. It is an enduring pain in our hearts and souls. We’ll keep the bright memory of those who did not live to see these days, of those who did everything to ensure that we lived in an independent and sovereign Belarus.”
The Chairperson of the Council of the Republic wished everyone health, prosperity, success, happiness, and a peaceful sky over the head.
